In Step with Serenity was photographed in Highbanks Metro Park.

“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

~~ William Wordsworth, ”I Wander'd Lonely as a Cloud”

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

~~ Lao Tzu

“There are two ways to get enough. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.”

~~ G.K. Chesterton

“Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.”

~~ Thích Nhất Hạnh, ”Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life”

John, thanks for another precious image, but thanks too for the cultural education given in your narrative. They perform a perfect match and make this posting complete as complete can be!

Regards, Cornelius.

Smiling softly at our dear SEAS comment [not to wake up Boris with any roars], I say ditto re educational merits of your intro:)
As to the view - I am wondering why the serenity has this dark tone here... This might be an original approach to the subject or just your regular vision. I better stop fearing that you might lose your temper which usually sweet and angelic may find this comment unnerving and too long!
LOL
Still in my opinion this is a darker side of serenity.
I will defend my position!!!!

This is stunningly beautiful and both Mrs b and I think it has all the hallmarks of a Pre-Raphaelite painting (which happens to be our favourite painting style). You have created your own masterpiece here.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
