There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Douglas Adams ~~ The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy

Love the rich coppery-bronze colors of this one and the reflective pool.

Excellent, John!

This reminds me of Turkey Tail Mushrooms, clustered near a forest pond, and reflected in the water at the bottom of your image. Wild.

You've frightened me John by quoting Douglas Adams, so I've quit my attempts for discovering this instantly. Have my doubts however that the people that I meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

Else I couldn't enjoy and view this perfect and very fine render, ☺ .

...merely the products of a deranged imagination. One thing's for sure the brain is a powerful tool.

There's also a theory that planet earth has been virtually destroyed and slowly resurrected itself several times already. The problem is caused by a dominant species.

Cool fractal, well done John.

Progress equals a trashed planet since mankind is too busy altering it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Enjoy yourself today (o: because you don't know what tomorrow may bring.

OK, you did it again. Stunning, original and captures our imagination. I have an idea, why don't you produce a documentary that enables us to understand your construction procedure and creative process? Would be worth viewing!

Yes you did do it again - provided an image that both intrigues and disturbs.
The disturbance is heightened by the accompanying quote.
Now I have to worry about whose deranged imagination I am a product of :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
