Thomas Jefferson

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Gore Vidal

As societies grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too. Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate, action: you liberate a city by destroying it. Words are to confuse, so that at election time people will solemnly vote against their own interests.

Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli of England

The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.

1984 , by George Orwell

Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right

This sort of has the feel of some of the religious/hell-themed paintings of the time of Heironymous Bosch's contemporaries. A little creepy, actually.

Well chosen 'quotes' by this perfect render, John.
Both viewing your beautiful creation and reading your narrative will 'open' our eyes, so preventing us from being blind with physically opened eyes.

Some say what we don't know can't hurt us :) Not so sure about that.

A mesmerising and beautiful illuminated image John.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

As they take away our beliefs and refuse to let God attend school, we are slowly becoming Sodom and Gomorrah, Shads.
Your creation could be the fire and brimstone aftermath.
