Thank you Geri for providing this site to us.

Today is my tenth year anniversary of being here. I have been given advice and guidance by so many talented artists. I have learned so much from everyone here. I hope I have provided advice in return. I lift a glass of wine and wish Caedes much success and look forward to my next ten years with all of you.

Happy anniversary, John! Orwell is coming up a lot recently.

The picture does look as though somebody is using thick colours and shapes to obliterate more delicate truths that lie behind. We need to watch and listen more, and not leap to deny and destroy.

Thoughtful addition to the site. :-)

Although having read your message and viewed your image full screen.. I can't shake my initial impressions of your creation's visual similarities to Antelope Canyon (lower), Arizona.

That's still no a bad thing in my book, though.

And with that said..

Cheers!

And..

+favs for me.

George Orwell will still be read and studied in a thousand years, if we survive that long. He's especially on the nose these days, as corruption and doublespeak pollutes and toxifies our society. Someone once told me that Pink Floyd was 'not socially relevant', but that was just a college blowhard trying to appear edgy. Floyd is, and always will be, my favorite band. With just a handful of albums, they crystallized for all to see, the bone deep rot in western society. That said, The Wall was a horrible album and an even worse movie. It was nothing but a whining pity party for Roger Waters and his endless Freudian issues. With one exception though - the song Hey You and the awesome work of guitar god David Gilmour. He's the one that elevates the band to sublime. Oh, and your picture is pretty great too, it's definitely reminiscent of Antelope Canyon.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This looks so much like a glacier ice cave, sloping downhill, except that it's lit by an internal rainbow. Very cool.
