My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The delicacy of the interior texture lines in your fractal remind me of the delicate lines and shapes in leaves and ferns. I think it all fits your title well--the red shape in the background replicating the sun--but I'm not sure the leaf is necessary. Its realism doesn't fit the character of the rest of the piece. Just a thought.

The realism of the leaf was done deliberately. It represents the reality and promise of Spring as new life emerges from the barren time period of Winter. I debated doing this for a long time before going with it and like how it added to the over-all narrative of the piece.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
