The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

"O, how wonderful is the human voice! It is indeed the organ of the soul! The intellect of man sits enthroned visibly upon his forehead and in his eye; and the heart of man is written upon his countenance. But the soul reveals itself in the voice only; as God revealed himself to the prophet of old in the still, small voice; and in a voice from the burning bush. The soul of man is audible, not visible. A sound alone betrays the flowing of the eternal fountain, invisible to man!"
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Hyperion

"Stan's father had told him that, before the money ran out, they had intended to put the statue of the soldier back up here again.

'I like the birdbath better, Daddy,' Stan said.

Mr Uris ruffled his hair. 'Me too, son,' he said. 'More baths and less bullets, that's my motto."
Stephen King, It

"There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must have felt what it is to die, Morrel, that we may appreciate the enjoyments of life. " Live, then, and be happy, beloved children of my heart, and never forget, that until the day God will deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is contained in these two words, 'Wait and Hope."
Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo

Scarborough Fair, Celtic Woman

Your posts have it all, John! A good image/render, a narrative with well chosen quotes, and a appropriate music link.
Must be pretty time consuming. Thanks for the effort.
Much appreciated, 👍 !

Once again you hit the trifecta with your post John.
I think you miss Columbus you little Tasmanian Devil 😁
I see they are returning.
This looks especially good today after the snow last night.
Wonderful post.
I also liked the performances of Elvis & Glen Campbell on "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." It was the next song following Scarborough Fair.

I wish I could have spent more time in Columbus when I was there a few years ago. I really liked City BBQ and Graeter's Ice cream. Columbus is a very diverse city economically, culturally, etc. This is a wonderful shot! It reminds me of of this shot behind our home
