The best people possess a feeling for beauty, the courage to take risks, the discipline to tell the truth, the capacity for sacrifice. Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable; they are often wounded, sometimes destroyed.
Ernest Hemingway

Look at walls splashed with a number of stains, or stones of various mixed colors. If you have to invent some scene, you can see their resemblances to a number of landscapes, adorned with mountains, rivers, rocks, trees, great plains, valleys and hills, in various ways. Also you can see various battles, and lively postures of strange figures, expressions on faces, costumes and an infinite number of things, which you can reduce to good integrated form. This happens on such walls and varicolored stones, (which act) like the sound of bells, in whose peeling you can find every name and word that you can imagine.
Leonardo da Vinci

I believe that there is one story in the world, and only one…. Humans are caught‐in their lives, in their thoughts, in their hungers and ambitions, in their avarice and cruelty, and in their kindness and generosity too‐in a net of good and evil…. There is no other story. A man, after he has brushed off the dust and chips of his life, will have left only the hard, clean questions: Was it good or was it evil? Have I done well‐or ill?
John Steinbeck, East of Eden

He was one of the most supremely stupid men I have ever met. He taught me a great deal.
John Fowles, The Magus

Another Brick In The Wall, Pink Floyd

Colour My World, Leonid & Friends

Kashmir, Led Zeppelin

Reminds me of looking up at high rise apartments in Hong Kong, and make me feel a bit vertiginous !
Or maybe colourful containers on a wharf, full of mysterious things, But then again maybe I do hear the sound of bells so I must look more closely and for longer to see more.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

John, I agree with the comparison Lyn has made in her comment.
I myself have a slight preference for the idea that this is a view of one of the holds of a container ship under heavy seas. I hope that the containers are adequately secured to prevent a disaster such as that with the MSC Zoe.
Here a newspaper article about this disaster.

Perfectly chosen quotes and musical links, per usual. I've already played an old favorite of mine many times now: the Pink Floyd classic 'Another Brick In The Wall'. Just wonderful!

If the Aztecs built spacecraft, it is my guess that this is what they would look like. Massive stonework of bright colors and repetitive shapes and lines.
