I have no idea what you did to the background but the effect is intriguing and displays the flowers to good advantage. It’s very well done in my opinion.

Hi Cindy, this is very beautiful and done in your very familiar, friendly, and informal style, easy to recogniize! These same qualities you express in your work help to define ourselves in ways that are hard to miss! I bet your personality is similar to the way you photograph and do many other life living things! I especially like the dark rich red combined with the white, two colors that are always very showy and not dissimilar to displaying black and white together, which get your attention quickly, as well!! Really like these flowers. The image is with much detail, love the texture and the shadowing in this is wonderful. You have really created a masterpiece I must say. Exceptional work and love the colors here with these flowers too.

Wow Cindy, what a shot! The use of black and white is quite dramatic as a backdrop for the flowers. The lighting is amazing. The effect you achieved in the background makes the blossoms "pop' out at the viewer. This is quite an amazing image. One that I proudly file in my favorites folder on my hard drive so I can run it in my screensaver slideshow! Thank you for sharing this with us! :~)
