First of all, I'm waaay behind in comments but I've recently moved so I've been sooo busy, lol. But I promise that I will get to your wonderful images one by one if it kills me! Lol. I finally got out the other day and took some relaxing time to take some pics around my parents property. This is a beautiful rose from one of my mom's rose bushes. I had trouble with the lighting on this one but I sort of like the way it turned out-the way the shadows fill the rose itself. As always, comments welcome:) Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! P.S. I showed my mom some of my favorite images from this site and she thought they were just beautiful!

Perfect. The color is wonderful, the pattern the petals make is interesting and pretty, the shot is neither too close nor too far away. It fills up the whole screen. It is clear and sharp, with excellent lighting. And the blossom is perfect (no brown edges, no blight, no blotches, no dirt, no bugs). I can almost smell it.

I think you came up with the right lighting for this particular flower. It contains such a lovely soft rose hue that to treat it to a harsher light could have hidden and not enchanced its delicate beauty..nice job :)PJ
