Snapped this picture of my chocolate lab, Mocha, standing out on the ice on Merritt Lake, WA. While she obviously always looks like a retriever, since she is one, I snapped this picture because she was in a stance that reminded me of pictures of hunting dogs...retrievers who actually retrieve!

I love Labs ~ owning seven of them is a pretty strong indication (2 are chocolates). I totally recognize that retriever stance & that is what caught my eye. Looks like Mocha is enjoying the snow too. Fantastic capture + faves.

I love this shot. I was looking for a picture with snow in it to get me in the holiday spirit and this is perfect. I really like the detail of the snow and the crystalline appearance of it. The dog does provide a wonderful contrast. I also like this because I have grown up with labs, so it is a great fit for me. Thanks for posting!

Looks like a wonderful playground for you and Mocha! (what a great name for a chocolate Lab!) The texture of that snow piled up on the tree branches is amazing! A great scene, kinda playful :) glad you captured it
