I just decorated the front of our house with a bunch of Christmas lights. Well, since it looked all pretty, I had to get a picture too. So I did just that. The lights you see initially are from the porch, and the little lights way in the background are from our Christmas tree shining through the window. Now, see all the black space on the left? Don't be criticizing it just yet; put it as your background, and all of your little icons go over there and it looks fantastic. Tell me what you think.

I think it looks pretty nice. It does make a nice Christmas desktop. Yep, the black space is just right for icons.

Yep. I just wanted to say something in the description because I can see people right now freaking out over the black space on the left. I took the picture with that amount with desktops in mind. Mac users, well, they might not like this picture, lol.

Actually I like to put black space on the left as do a lot of other wallpaper artists. Often we shoot images in a vertical format which aren't particularly suited to being desktops, so we use Paintshop or Photoshop (or Irfanview which is free and easy to use) to put the vertical image onto a horizontal background, so it will fit better on a desktop, and when we do we move the image over to the right, so there's space for icons - exactly as you did.

A bit chaotic, hard to make out what your looking at when you first see it. I like the rays coming from the lights. Nice colours, it does look festive.
