I named this African violet after a a song I like a lot. But when I look had this flower, I think that without even thinking of the song. I hope you all enjoy this one. I grow these flowers at home.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
Edward Weston
You ARE a most talented man. These lovelies are very tough to grow in my experience and I've always envied those who could do so. So I am not only glad to see such a pristine flower, I am very impressed with your horticultural expertise :)
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
Beautiful -as a flower and as a photo. Having grown many of these beauties, I appreciate the flower itself but also the wonderful composition of the photo. The intense, vibrant and clear blue of the flower contrasts sweetly with the delicate softness of the turquoise and yellow in the window behind it. Is it a reflection or the delicate capture of a sheer curtain swaying gently in a summer breeze? Well done!
