Good good clarity and focus, drops adding in some additional visual interest and fleshing out the setting some more.
Caveats?
Kind of having to guess as to what your aim here is.. insofar as the amount of negative space you've captured/allowed in and around your floral subjects.
Well, not that hard to fill in the blanks, really. However, I do find the amount of greenery in the upper left-hand side a bit imbalanced on a compositional note. As there's quite a bit of visual weight there.
Suggestion? And if at all possible.. toward the ends of tightening things up.. some?
Shift in camera position to the left, looking right to bring the elements within frame closer together. Letting the striking colour contrasts work more towards providing the balance of floral subject and leaves/stalk.
And that's the 'constructive critiquing' story am sticking with.
Still a very nice shot with a hint of an intrigue as presented. 'Sublime' would not be amiss here as a descriptor.
Wow! This is gorgous. I simply love the colour of those flowers along with the interestingly shaped leaves. Makes a superb image and is already set as my DT back ground. Fav'd too. Brilliant piece of work you have here. Well done! Ann
The dark background and foliage sets the beautiful morning glory purple off to advantage. The two whole blooms and the others peeping from behind make a nice composition.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I've had this image on my desktop for several days... it's had a comforting effect! It makes me feel as though I'm hiding in a nice, quiet spot where no one can find me. :-) I love the quiet, shadowy colours with the warm touches.
As is the lighting.
