Chris...I'm just not sure what to say since it's already been covered in detail above. The in depth critiques have certainly helped with your work of late.
Your "wish you were here" snapshots are better than 99% of the landscapes on Caedes. I'm on the Pacific and could maybe post something half this fine but without the sky since we rarely have had any clouds around here. To tell you the truth, I cannot find anything to critique about your image.
I like this because it could be anywhere in the world - the essence of a sunny day at the beach. The colours are very natural except for the very dark blue at the top of the sky. Not saying it would be the right thing to do but I would have chopped that top part off , leaving an illusion of an even wider vista of shoreline.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
A truly beautiful & tranquil scene, Chris. I agree with Lyn & I would have cropped off the darker blue of the sky at the very top ... as it disracts a bit. I want my eyes to stay focused on the waves & beach as if I'm actually walking there ... but I find my eyes wandering to the dark blue of the sky. Other than that ... the image has excellent depth & the angle is perfect.
