This is the 'Prins Hendrik-dok' nearly in the town centre of Middelburg, the Netherlands. The dock has a wooden (underwater) floor and was built in 1876 for merchant (sailing) ships and was in use till WW II. Nowadays the dock is no longer in use as a 'dock' but has become a small yacht haven for small (motor)boats.

excellent capture Cornelius - the river sweeps to the left and takes your eye right down and around into the distance! well done! Patti

Mooi overzicht, Cornelius!
Looks like the canals in Groningen, met de kapitale herenhuizen
aan weerszijden van het kanaal!
Het enige verschil zijn de plezier bootjes, terwijl hier in Groningen,
de grachten vol liggen met "woonboten"
Greetz!

Gorgeous clarity, yummy colours. I love the curve of the river and the buildings. The buildings intrigue me. Are they places of residence or business?
