On our stroll along the border of the Lake of Veere we will pass the 'Campveerse Toren', built between 1358 and 1390 as part of Veere's fortification. The tower had in that time also a Town Tavern and a lighthouse function. Nowadays it is a hotel and restaurant where famous guests like the late Prince Rainier and Princess Gracia of Monaco have spent some time.
