This is windmill 'Buiten Verwachting' ('Out of Expectation') at New- & St. Joosland. I've chosen for the title as this windmill was grinding indeed at the moment I took this picture. The turning sails of the mill can be very dangerous. I'm glad that I can give the title in English because the same title in Dutch has a double meaning: a - in confirmaty with the title and b - take care, I'm off the rock.

Well Cornelius, this is really beautifull. Excellent bright capture! Thanks for sharing another of your typical moody dutch scenes.

Hey, Cornelius!
I wonder how many windmills you have in the province of "Zeeland"
They all look beautiful, at least, those I've seen on your images!
and special this white one, with my favorite blue sky!
Regards!

When I was in Holland I only got to see a couple of windmills and that was from a train on my way to Paris. I really like your windmill shots. It is certainly something I don't otherwise get to see.

Really wonderful and typical Dutch scenery Cornelius, you're a very good ambassador for our little country:)
(I'm glad there's a bicycle in there too because otherwise it just wouldn't be complete, right? lol)

Jacky, If you watch this image at full screen size, you can see that it's a ladies bike. I assume it's the bike of the miller's wife, bringing him coffee or something else. It could be an emancipated female miller as well.

A beautiful 'clean' image - blue skies and white windmill. It is so fresh and lovely!

Wonderful image. I noticed the bicycle right off and thought, but of course, how else would you get there?
