Almost in the town centre of Flushing, the Netherlands, the small 'Koopmanshaven' (Merchantsharbour) is situated. This tiny harbour nowadays is only used for pilot vessels working at the Western Scheldt. At this image two (Belgian) pilot vessels in the 'stand by' position (on less than 5 minutes notice).

Cornelius , bij het zien van de naam "Jan Breydel"(een uit de 14e eeuw Vlaamse volksheld in de strijd tegen de Fransen)was ik wat verrast.Toen las ik dat ook Belgische pilootboten hier aanmeren ; een mooi voorbeeld van een Europa zoals het hoort te zijn.Trouwens een heel mooie foto !

Nice composition Cornelius! - I think I might have been inclined to clone out the men to the left of the picture as they are a little bit distracting, but overall I like the angle you have photographed the boats with the town in the background.
