Something about this image I find compelling. I think maybe the lighting, the way it grazes the side of the art1st's head and hand. Fine composition, too, Cornelius.

this one goes into my favourites Cornelius - a lovely composition and portrait! I like the way you took the photograph from so low down so that the figure is outlined by the sky and I am too thinking what Chris is saying! Could this be Cornelius himself? :)

Very interesting shot. The lighting is perfect as it creates a halo effect around the painter's head. A true artist's shot from subject to presentation.

Cornelius, that is a real artist in front and behind that camera. A very nice composition.
One suggestion though, I think a fill in flash would have made it a real masterpiece. Even tried to use a fill in flash?

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
Deze gaat regerecht mijn favorieten in, en dat niet alleen vanwege de goede belichting. Het gekozen onderwerp vind ik echt heel leuk. De fotograaf van deze foto is op zijn manier met "kunst" bezig maar de schilder zelf ook. Je wordt gelijk nieuwgierig naar wat de schilder aan het schilderen is. Maar ook de zon die toch door wat (zo lijkt het) zwaardere bewolking heen komt op de achtergrond maakt de foto ook "spannend". het is maar een plaatje maar er gebeurd veel in dat plaatje. Echt heel leuk.
