John (Rozem061): I gave it a try! Although flowers are, even to me, really beautiful am I, as a retired seaman, not used to cope with them. That's the reason that I've, up till now, not posted any flower image. My good friend John said to me: "You'll give it a try." See this image as a kind of compromise. An old boat full of flowers, 'found' at the border of a village in Zeeland, the Netherlands. Hope you'll enjoy this image. If so, I will post tomorrow an overall view of this spot.

Very nice, beautiful photo of the flowers. You don't need any special talent for that Cornelius (even retired seamen can do it!:). You don't even have to go looking for flowers - you only have to live in the Netherlands! :):)

I like the composition Cornelius, it is quite romantic! ...and it is good to try photographing things that we do not normally photograph! This is very pretty indeed!

What a great use of an old boat. I salute you for trying something new to you and to the creator of this floating garden, my hat's off to them as well. :)

If they would deliver flowers here in Vienna like that, I would be very happy to become their costumer. I would enjoy the boat with the flowers and my husband (Chris/boremachine) would be able to take shots of it. Smile. Your capture of this is very nice, the image just caught my attention and I had to tell you, how much I like it.

I saw this flower boat in another photo, it might even have been one of yours Cornelius. I like simple compositions like this because there are no distractions. The boat’s isolation also raises questions in the viewer’s mind, which is always the sign of a powerful image. Perhaps its a sailors garden?

Mooi he!!

Wie weet waar we allemaal komen. We gaan op de Bonnefooi.
Groet Wil

Oh, what a beautiful post. I have never seen anything like this before. So wonderful to see all those lovely flowers in a boat in the middle of the water. Great shot!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What a great use for an old boat! I haven't seen one in the water like this before; in my town there's a home that has an old rowboat "sunk" in the front yard and it's filled with flowers.
