this is very nice. the height of the dome dwarfs the rest of the red roofs which are so much alike. the green background is the perfect accompaniment to both.
Well, I'm still in the dark as to the name, but a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, so a building as striking as this can bear up under any name given it :) Lovely job.
It was definitely worth the long climb up "Long John", C., to get this half-dozen "aerials" of Middelburg. Those red tiled roofs remind me of some of the U.S. Naval stations I've seen in various places around the world. I also enjoy how tight some of the streets are and, despite being so close together, the structures have their own identity. Here in the U.S. I have no idea how some guys find their way home in large subdivisions where every house is identical.
