Yesterday we were lucky in Holland, as it was a nice and sunny day. The summer in Holland however, is bad (wet and grey). This image shows what once was a lawn at the backside of some Middelburg houses. Our former famous soccer player Johan Cruyff once said: "Every disadvantage has its own advantage." Think the advantage of this bad situation is the nice reflection of the houses into the (temporary?) water.

You're right, of course. The reflections are beautiful and at least you got some reprieve from the constant rain...you sent it over here, didn't you? :)

I see the point you are making and also will say that I see the modern architecture there keeps some of the elements of the old..I like both ideas!

Super reflections Cornelius! ...and I have a saying too - "something good always comes from something bad" - so look for the good and you can see that here too - maybe the field is flooded but just look how beautiful it is. We had a lovely sunny afternoon yesterday too Cornelius - I think you have the same weather as us!

A nice shot! I'm glad to see you got a day of sunshine. My husband just got back from Amsterdam, so I know how dreary your weather has been, though I wouldn't mind a little rain around here for a change.

Ik dacht dat het in het noorden het ergste was, wat betreft de neerslag, maar ik zie nu dat het in Zeeland ook al bar en boos is!
Leuke upload, Cornelius!

That was a good place to take an image, I can see so many details and I love most of them (the car is a problem, I also often have). Is the water smelling? Smile
