OMgoodness!! I've often thought that if I were a figurehead on a sea going vessel, this is exactly the way I'd feel, suspended high above the water, expected to lead the way...What a great find!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon

A petrified monarch? He's a bright snappy red/orange too! Oops, I see LynEve said 'petrified' too. lol I wonder if this was some sort of statement on the monarchy? I guess you could make your figurehead represent any number of things. This is so clear and bright and crisp, Cornelius and using the rope as a frame was ingenious.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

haha, it wouldnt give you much confidence to get on that ship with that figurehead, but i like it, its funny, and of course excellently captured as usual by your fair hands!
