As you can see, the weather was very foul when I captured this image. The grey and dark sky forced me to choose for a low diafragma number, the moore it was nearly impossible to stay at my feet and therefore had to choose a fast as possible shutter time as well. The result is a not optimal DOF. The blurry background however, is mainly caused by the spreading of the seawater. Though the quality is not perfect (I don't expect a high C-index score), hope you'll enjoy this image (else I was seasick for nothing) (not really, lol).

i think you did great under such harsh conditions, the weather looks foul but it makes for a great shot! even the colours are quite bright on such a horrible day. well done, i hope you recovered from being seasick lol!!

Fantastic image, the focus on the boat and the timing of the water spray is awesome. Top effort.

Cornelious you have done great here to get this shot...you captured the wave in front of tug perfectly to give the feeling of harsh conditions on seas...good work...gerry

actie foto is geworden!

I think the shot is pretty amazing, actually. It sure looks like that boat is going very fast and the blurred background I thought was on purpose. Great work while trying to remain on your feet, Cornelius!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I enjoy that shot and I am impressed, how you captured all that action. I am only angry about the c-index, you would have deserved better.
