Well you and Pat are right Cornelius. Diagonals do have impact in a composition...this is good...gerry

Mijn compliment!

Hope I'm not repeating anything here, but I really think you're a good student and PJ is excellent teacher. Like the angle and framing. Oh year, diagonals are great. Very good Cornelius

Its a very different and interesting interpretation, but I like the outcome - also the colors, even they have nothing to do with that lesson. Smile

Terrific perspective here. Not your usual windmill shot and that's what I really like about it. Not to mention the wonderful clarity and vivid colors!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like what Cindy said about it not being the usual shot of a windmill, and I guess that's what I was learning from that lesson as well. Sometimes, not always, when you lean heavily on the technical end of photography things turn out great. I guess it was actually a lesson in why some rules are followed..lol..

I'm sure glad I was able to pass that lesson along. I never want to stop learning.
