Seems all things of the sea is the subject of the day. I have just put up a photo of Lobster pots. I like this photo. You have captured the character of this fisherman well. I like your presentation too.

thats a job that would drive me mad, dealing with all that string and knots! :-) its a great portrait of him doing his job with the nets though.

Goede foto.... precies zoals ik me het herinner van toen ik in Zeeland was tijdens een festival. De zwarte achtergrond is ook erg goed... de focus ligt nu volledig op de vissersman en zijn net! En als altijd is het frame ook weer mooi.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I like people photo's and this one is especially good. You captured him just right concentrating on his job at hand. I like the net in corner. Framing works perfect with this photo. Excellent photo Cornelius.

This reminds me of a picture one might see in National Geographic Magazine. Actually a lot of your pictures do, but this one especially. The fisherman is showing one of his skills that no one thinks about. Thanks Cornelius, for sharing this photo. It's a great capture.

this is a lovely portrait Cornelius! Is it you doing what comes naturally?! The focus is excellent and I like that the fisherman is so and preoccupied in his task! Excellent choice in framing!

Is he still working every day in those traditional clothes or is this more for tourists/visitors? How ever, I like the way he looks like an old sea bear. Smile
