I've posted an overall image of this landscape before. This one, however, is a detail image. I've put the windmill in the 'spotlight', while the forest is the background now. Taken at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands in the early autumn of 2007. Hope you'll enjoy this image. PS: please watch this image at full screen size. Thank you in advance!

I can almost hear the millstone grinding. It's a sound and smell I'll never forget. Beautifully done, Cornelius.

it's like an old masters painting Cornelius! ...excellent shot and what I really like in this photograph is the way the light is catching the side of the windmill and the gate down there - it illuminates that part of the picture!

Another "lonely" mill! - sitting there in the middle of all that green. Looks great, Cornelius.

Gorgeous shot! The dark color of the forest really draws the eye to the white windmill! Great work!

That's a glorious shot, Cornelius. I love the color of the trees, and the lighting. Those mills are so interesting. Someday, I am coming over there, just to see some in person. Of course, I want to come when Rene Froger is giving a concert, too. LOL.

Ja, ik herinner me de vorige posting zeer zeker, die was heel mooi, maar deze mag er zeker ook zijn. Een goede keus om de molen er uit te lichten. Goed gedaan.

The windmill almost looks like a toy windmill. What a lovely dutch scene. There is a house near here that is a windmill. It is in the next town east of me. The name of the town is Holland! lol I like that house a lot, but not as much as I like the windmill in your image.
