This one is for my daughter. Got PS as a present from her. That 'obliged' me to 'play' with it. Had, however, no PS experience at all, so it was a pretty hard job for me to achieve some reasonable results. Think I am now that far that I can offer her, and show you, this 'attempt' without having to be ashamed of the result. I'm curious what's your opinion on that. Any comment is welcome. Hope that I can keep my Foofy Number that Mark (sasraku) gave me, lol. Thank you in advance.

If this is your first attempt at PS, then I would say you are going to be an expert with it in no time. What a wonderful image of that rose. Not only the rose, but the black frame with the red lining is great also. Nice work, Cornelius. I can't wait to see what else you learn.

You have done very well, Cornelius. From my experience a red rose or any red flower is a difficult thing to photograph because you cannot get the edges of the petals clearly unless the light conditions are perfect. Your rose looks lovely - a suitable present for your daughter.

Happy birthday dear Petra!
Happy birthday to you!!!!!!

This red Rose is a wonderful gift, from a wonderful father!
I think, Petra, you must be very proud, and very lucky
with a father, ( Neptunus miss him! ) and grandfather like this!
Take care of him!
Congratulations to both of you, and I hope you have
a wonderful day!
Kind regards!

great colours , the rose does stand out yes, but looks lost in the black background, just drifting around

I think the 'experiment' turned out very nicely, Cornelius. The contrast between the red, red rose, and the black, black background is amazing.

Deze poging mag zeker gezien worden Cornelius,al had een extra groen blaadje, een knopje of stengel het geheel serieus kunnen opkrikken(volgens mij althans).

This is about as foofy as they come so I would say you will certainly keep your number Cornelius.
Happy Birthday too!

The rose looks like velvet and is a beautiful colour. It is a real eye-catcher.
I would have liked it a bit more off centre and perhaps the border a bit finer.
But having said that I would be proud if this were one of mine.
Hope to see more of these from you :)
