Yesterday, April 30th, the birthday of our Queen Beatrix was celebrated. On that occasion the sails of this traditional windmill 'Nooitgedacht' ('Never thought') in Arnemuiden, Zeeland, The Netherlands, were decorated with pennons. It was wonderful to see the windmill grinding this way. Hope you'll enjoy this image and thank you in advance for any comment.

A cracking image of this windmill mate, nice composition and razor sharp, good work indeed.

All the best,

Do they shoot fireworks, too? That sure is a colorful windmill, the way it is decorated. A very interesting and well presented image. Nice, Cornelius.

I never knew that you could "dress" a windmill like dressing a ship on special occasions, Cornelius. Beautiful image very well presented.

Good photo C and I don't know anyone that like windmills. Some have their battles with them, but all in all, they are loved. Great capture and tell the Queen Owd Fellow said Happy Birthday.

I like the lighting on this, Cornelius. It must have been really fun to see the pennants flapping and flying like kites as the blades went around.
