The former island, now peninsula Walcheren (Zeeland, The Netherlands) had in the past the nickname 'Garden of Holland'. Walcheren was inundated in 1944 (WW II) and flooded (by disaster) in 1953. Both events destroyed the picturesque character of Walcheren. Lots of effort has been spent to bring Walcheren back in its orignal state. Hope this series will show you that Walcheren got back some of its idyllic country roads and paths and its picturesque character again. The images are taken in different seasons. Hope you'll enjoy this series.

Hello Cornelius, I find this one to be one of the best in the this series. Very good composition and you are lead into the picture and there is so much depth. The people really create and set the mood for this one. The colors are very good and you can see the textures as well. There i think I explaind myself! :)sandi ♪ ♫

The colours, clarity and the composition are excellent, Cornelius. I think it will be a good idea to take this photo again in full summer.

I too would like to see this photo again this summer with all the leaves. This is a great shot and I love treelined paths and roads. Good framing as usual C. Have a good weekend.

Outstanding Cornelius! I just love avenues of trees, but these are amazing! ...so big and all leaning in towards the path. The addition of the couple in the distance gives the viewer an idea of the size of the trees and gives it a greater dof! faved!

I love the subject of this image, those wonderful rowed trees and the pathway filled with light. As always, you pick the very best colors to frame the work and bring out the best in them. Just lovely, Cornelius.
