Image is captured in the acient tiny but cosy town of Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The small houses in this alley in Veere are built almost 'under' the Our Lady Church. To me it seems to be that 'Our Lady' (the church) spreads her wings to protect those houses and their inmates. Hope you'll enjoy this image. PS: this image has replaced an older image with the same title in my gallery as this one depicts far better the scene.

that is lovely, i love the light feel to this shot, and all those little houses nestled together with that church, there seems lots of things going on in one small space, the church, the houses and the trees, it all makes for a very pretty scene.

Heel mooi in beeld gebracht ,Cornelius.De onafgewerkte kerk is wel gigantisch vergeleken met de grootte van Veere.

Love the color in this composition. Those shutters by the windows are eye catching. This is good.

It definitely gives you the impression that the church is looking after the houses. I love all the colors in this one, Cornelius. It's just a beautiful scene.

It does look as though the grand old church keeps a protective eye over the houses that adjoin the church. Great shot, Cornelius, very good colours and very well composed.

I also had the feeling of a mother looking over her children. I can not imagine, how hudge this church must feel, when you stand in front of it. A very nice image with beautiful water colors.

Lots of wonderful colors in this beautiful scene, Cornelius. And the angle of view is excellent. As I recall the other image was more straight on?

This is why they call it the Mother Church. Great composition C. I can't imagine this being done any better. Framing is excellent and there are many pleasant things to look at. Just a great post my friend.

I stand in awe at the sheer mass of these fabulous structures. This perspective emphasizes the place a church takes in the community. Well done, Cornelius.
