Captured this young Zeeland girl in traditional clothes at a place in Middelburg, the Netherlands. Of course she's wearing this clothes only at special (folklore/traditional) events. Think if you would see her today in her normal clothes, you even didn't recognize her. Hope you'll enjoy this image.

Two answers on the above questions:
-Jan, 'those spring looking things' are golden ornaments typical for the Zeeland island or peninsula, so Zeeland people can/could see by the ornaments from which island or peninsula a girl or woman comes;
-Gabrielle, the special event was the yearly gig ride and tilting at the ring match in Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands. An event where all the members of the participating families are wearing their traditional clothes. In my gallery I've still some other images of this event from last year.

This is an absolutely beautiful capture of this adorable young lady, she doesn't look to enthusiastic at that moment in time. The colour & clarity is outstanding as usual Cornelius. This is going into my fabs.

I do much prefer the traditional dress. This is so lovely and has so much more character in the dress than today's 'fashion'. She looks like she wants to say something, but is holding back. Wonderful image of this child, Cornelius.
