Strange title, isn't it?
Think not that strange when I say that every traditional windmill in Holland has a name, and the name of this one is 'The Cow'.
I really like the speckled sunlight and the shadows. The scene quickly draws our attention to the lovely windmill. I like the fence in semi-silhouette too. A really lovely summer scene, Cornelius.
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

The difference is this cow looks very attractive standing up there against the blue sky. I also like that green foreground. Very well composed shot, Cornelius!

You are neither taxed nor fined if you look at My Gallery.
The path makes me feel welcome as I enjoy the shade on the way to vote. I assume that is where the cows vote. lol Just kidding C. It looks great against the blue sky and that wisp of a cloud behind. Good post and good luck to you and yours.
There is something so very restful about the sight of a windmill - belieing the energy it produces.
A lovely shot Cornelius, well composed and wonderful colours.
I knew there would be an explanation behind the title Cornelius! :) Beautiful composition with the shadows and light leading your eye through the image to the windmill.

a beauty of a windmill! lol at the name! i think its great all the names, as i have said before, and well done with the cow index for this one too!! :-)
Once again you take us back in time with your exquisite compositions. Very romantic and old world. Love the lush green path and the clouds which seem to be tangled up in the windmill's sheets. Super work,
