Lovely mass of colour Cornelius.

I think it looks like "Viper's Bugloss" (Echium vulgare). It growns in profusion in my area, and Vipers Bugloss honey is wonderful :)Click Here to see if you think it is this plant :)
Sheep love it as well :)

haven't the foggiest as to what this is. but, i love the overall display of the flower on the page. the above comment about texture says it all, but i'd add color to that.

Beautiful shot Corneilius. Looks a bit like one of the Verbanea plants. Not sure on the spelling??

It doesn't matter what it is called, Cornelius, it fills the screen with its own kind of beauty. Colourful and beautiful!

No idea Cornelius. I assumed it was lavender when I got this image in VB but I was obviously wrong. Lots of colour here Cornelius.

It's 'Lavender' mate....and some fine work went into getting this composition too!....

I bet the smells and aroma is really something off that lot!

it was 'Wor-Lass' that told me it was that!...so blame her if it's wrong!!!!

Possibly Statice (sea lavender). The shot isn't quite sharp enough to be sure, but it's a beauty nonetheless.

I don't know either C. I don't know what flag JimboB is flying either. Do you suppose he does? lol The field is alive with purple and I would think the butterflies and bees would be having a field day. Nice work. Good fortune to you and yours.
