Took this one on my way back home after a photo trip through one of Zeeland's forests. The waterbirds are returning to the pond were they are probably spending the night. The already difficult lighting conditions prevented me from using a faster shutter time. A complicating factor too was that flying seaguls are dynamic and not static. Hope you'll enjoy this post. Thank you in advance for any comment.

I really like the blends of reddish browns and the blues in this shot. You did a pretty good job of capturing the gulls in flight, too. I don't know how slow your shutter speed was, but you made it work.

It has come out quite well in spite of the fading light, Cornelius. The birds look very good here. Altogether I would say a very nice picture.

Cornelius you overcame the tricky condition very well indeed. Lovely muted late afternoon colours and the birds add an extra dimension to the image.

Seagulls are always pleasant to watch. They sound peaceful and look soft as they glide around. I like the movement you captured here. LIving here at the Ocean I've seen them become very agressive too. But always they seem to go with where there is water. This is a very pretty photo. Verena

I like the way every bird has its wings in a different position, also the contrast between the warm color of the grass and the colder blue of the water. Although there is some action going on, the image gives you a rather peaceful feeling.
