I've explained it before, but for the people who've missed this explanation I'll repeat it again: A polder is a low-lying (mostly below sea-level) tract of land, reclaimed from the sea, and enclosed by embankments known as dikes. You can see the dike at the background while the lower tract of land is on the foreground of this image. This image is captured at October 9th at the eastern part of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thank you in advance for any comment.

Zelf ben ik opgegroeid als stratenmakerszoon en het beeld van hard werken hoort bij mijn leven. Er straalt hier energie en plichtsgevoel uit. Mooi hoe al de meeuwen opzij gaan/opvliegen.
Goede frisse kleuren. Michel

Normally you find birds like that around a fishing boat Cornelius. I suppose they are after worms and insects or is it grain? Very nice image!

This remindes me of a picture that my teacher used to teach us about the 4 seasons when i was a little girl. Only difference was that in the picture there was a horse in font of the plow.
Thank´s for the memory! Great capture!

Amazing capture and presentation. Fabulous colours and scene, love the way the gulls are all coming around that freshly turned ground. The gulls are having a feast on fresh yummy worms. Outstanding clarity, colours and composition Cornelius.

The soil must be full of nutrients to cause such an attraction for the gulls. Interesting shot.

There is something gratifying about seeing the earth turned and being readied for the next harvest. It is amazing how much earth they can turn with todays equipment. I imagine the horses, oxen and stooped shouldered men are glad.

Great post C.

Good health to you and yours.]

there is so much to look at in this one. i love the brightly colored tractor(?). the grass is subtly colored, and very sharp. the birds fluttering about are a wonderful touch. excellent picture.

The tractor catches the eye first thing and then those lovely birds all flying about. Why are they in the field? Were they nesting where the tractor passed? Wonderful image, Cornelius.

Your farm equipment looks totally different from ours here in the states. I see you have those pesky white birds over there as well. Good image.

Love the light breezy action of the birds as the ponderous machine makes its rounds. Great written description too.
