Cornelius, this looks like it could be a Breugel painting! It is charming and it is good to see people out enjoying themselves. it reminds me of when I was a boy of 10. We lived in Dunblane in Scotland then and I learned to skate in the open air near our house on a large pond that froze each winter.

Another gorgeous capture of this fabulous looking skating canal. Does look like they are having fun in this beautiful setting. I don't like skating outside, the ice is really hard against an area where the temperature of the ice is controled.

I would rather skate on one of the frozen canals than a skating rink. That would be a lot of fun. This is another wonderful shot of the skaters, and their surroundings.
