Although it was pretty cold, the scene was worth to capture it. This image was taken on January 10th, 2009 while I was standing on a dike of the 'Canal through Walcheren', Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The hoar frost is beautiful and I like the view from the dike. We call them terraces in my part of the world. Colors are so wonderful as they always are C. Excellent post.

Faved this one straightaway Cornelius! I love the unusual angle of the trees and the path going off into the distance which adds a lot of depth to the image. The frozen water just adds another point of beauty! ...really lovely!!!
