Taken at Friday, January 9th 2009 when I was strolling through wint'ry fields with rime-coated trees and frozen ditches at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands, when suddenly the mist came in. A couple of minutes later the sun was completely 'disappeared'. I've tried to fix the mist on this image just when it came in in the distance. It's up to you to determine whether I've succeeded in doing this or not.

Thank you in advance for any comment.

The trees look very clear and the mist(slight)is only visible in the distance. But with what you have done you have given this scene a "dreamy" look which I find quite attractive. Very nice image, Cornelius.

typisch 'Zeelands' verschijnsel !

I don't know if you succeeded in fixing the mist or not, but you have succeeded in creating a fabulous picture. Like Lyn says....it has atmosphere. Wonderful presentation of this scene.

Hey Cornelius, mist is such a tough subject, almost too ephemeral to be a subject! The comp is great and the moodiness is....well...moody. :)

Fine work indeed Sir C! I have seen a fine painting somewhere that had very much this same scene in it. Beautiful.

Mich.

A very successful undertaking C. The effect is quite astonishing. Sky and fog make for colorful interesting bedfellows. Great post.

It's certainly an atmospheric picture Cornelius. I love the thin, watery sun and the eerie colour.
