This image shows the tiny ancient town of Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands, partly hidden behind its medieaval fortification. The fortification was made by digging out the moat. Veere hasn't changed that much since the 15th and 16th century. Therefore I suppose that the present view is rather similar to the one that people have seen a couple of hundred years ago. From left to the right you see (please feel free to check-out the links, lol):

The 'Campveerse Toren';

The former Townhall with its steeple;

The Our Lady Church and

TWM The Cow.

Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thank you in advance for any comment

It looks so very peaceful Cornelius - the photo has a lot of depth - I like it very much.

Just wondering - do windmills make any sound? I always imagine them to be silent :)

Great view, Cornelius, with "The Cow" being the most prominent object. It is a good thing that these historic buildings have survived the wars. So many ancient buildings and churches have been destroyed in Germany.

Nice tour C. It does look like you are in the beginning throes of spring. Too bad the water was muddy. Maybe it is shallow and always that way. I do like the perspective you chose.

Good health to you and yours.
