If you think: "I've seen this post before", you're right. I've deleted the original one as the horizon was, accidently, slightly tilted, so watching to it made me seasick, lol. Said in my original narrative: "Hope you'll understand that on the one hand my heart still beats a little faster when I see sea going vessels passing by, but on the other hand it does me realise that it's good to see them now, after a maritime career of more than 35 years, from the other side (the beach, lol!)."

Image was captured on September 27th, 2008 on the beach of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

Hope you'll enjoy this post again. If you like to comment on it again, I say 'thank you' in advance for your comment.

It is the same with me, I must say, Cornelius. Although I miss the thrill of sailing all over the world, the best time of my life has been the years of retirement. A beautiful scene here with very good lighting and clarity.

Wonderful presentation of this gorgeous scene! The colors and details are excellent.
Don't know how you do it but when you post a maritime image I can see you've put your heart into it. I love that.

Just enough sand and water to give it depth and, of course, the ship and boats make the photo. Nice shot.

The groyne actually add to this photo. It doesn't surprise me that you are going back and correcting what you feel are flaws. I am enjoying the trip with you. Good rework.

Good health to you and yours.

Love the lines made by the rows of posts and the ships on the, now straight, horizon add a great finishing touch to the whole.

That's one big self laoding freighter coming this way, kicking up some good waves in the front. I really like this Cornelius & glad to see your not seasick any longer, lol. Beautiful colours, clarity & composition, plus that beach way over with the hills sure is gorgeous.

Such a peaceful looking beach, sure would love to sit down, watch and listen to the sounds around me.

The water is deceptively tranquil! Lovely panorama made all the more dramatic with those two big vessels in the distance.
