Famous cities like London and Amsterdam have canals. It's mostly unknown that Middelburg, a small town in Zeeland, The Netherlands, has canals too. This picture shows a part of one of those canals and the bridge across it. The bridge connects the ancient streets 'Rouaanse Kaai' and 'Kinderdijk' to each other. The bridgde is called the 'Spijkerbrug' and is built in 1853, therefore it's one of the oldest bridges in Middelburg. I've captured this bridge earlier, but the comments told me that the image should have been slightly brighter. Hope therefore this image is better now.

Hope you like this image. Thank you in advance for your comment.

It looks great C. The only canals we have in my town are an occasional root canal. Ouch!! Good shot of your bridge and the house across the canal. Color are bright. I would say you did fine.
Have a good weekend.
Good health to you and yours.

I like the colour of the bricks and the grey of the building makes an ideal contrast to it. A lovely sky at the back and all that together makes this a truly beautiful image, Cornelius. By the way, did you know that Hamburg is the city with the maximum number of bridges in Europe?
