This image was recently (March, 21th 2009) captured on a hazy day. With this image I've showed you the sea-side of the sea-dike near the village of Westkapelle, Zeeland, The Netherlands. In this image I'll show you however what's on the other side (the shore-side) of this dike. You can see a relative new nature reserve, in Holland called 'Vroonland', for sea- and water-birds. Far in the distance (can't be seen well) there are some small villages of the peninsula Walcheren.

Hope you'll enjoy this image. Thank you in advance for your comment.

What a great layout. Looks like plenty of birds have a great place to live. I can see the houses or buildings way in the distance. Beautiful shot, Cornelius.

Great shot. I think your Holland is a fairy wonder land. I have just flown over it again last week and I was amazed of the hundreds of canals, that much of water, thousands of waterbirds. I flew from Amsterdam so I had the chance to fly very low and look around your amazing country. I also saw some very colorful tulip fields, but I think the season is over as there were only a few to look. I love the Netherlands. :)

This almost reminds me of the swamps of florida. The brown grasses are beautiful against the blure waters.

I guess everyone who flies to Europe lands in Amsterdam at some time. lol What I could see was very beautiful too. (Reading Toto_san's comment). Here is a prime example of that beauty. Such a good shot of the dike area and I'd like that nature preserve, no doubt.

Given the sea's inexorable nature, it is amazing what the Netherlands has been to reclaim not to mention hold onto. This is a really exciting image.
