Old street in Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands, with houses built at the end of the 17th century (about 1680), and and the end of the street the steeple with the nickname 'Lange Jan' (Tall John).

Cornelius - The morning (or afternoon) lighting offers shadows to highlight the architectural details of these wonderful old (by US/Canadian standards) or older (by European historical spectrum) buildings. Lange Jan is quite remarkable in its detail, notably the crown and crow wind vane. An excellent photo! Thad
