In some previous posts of this series I've told and showed you that the provincial government of the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands, a couple of years ago, decided to pay Zeeland farmers some subsidy for sowing flowers-seeds along the borders of their fields. Therefore a lot of fields in Zeeland are surrounded still by flowers, making Zeeland even more attractive to tourists than it already was. Think that this image gives a good view of this phenomenon, as it's taken from a somewhat heightened position. This image was captured on September 14th, 2009.

PS: in my title I've mentioned them wildflowers because they grow in open fields, but on close examination this is not correct because this kind of flowers can be found in gardens as well.
