Ron, aka Tick (0930_23) and Thad (Luckyshot) did me these requests yesterday:
-Ron: I am looking forward to one of your shots with all the ice skaters;
-Thad: with Ron, I look forward to a photo with skaters on the canals.
So I opened one of my shoe boxes to fulfil the requests of T&T (lol). I will post some images of ice skating people, taken on January 3rd, 2009 on the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.
This is the first one. Hope you'll like it. Thank you in advance for your comment.

This is a very good shot not only of the skaters but also of the landscape. The mellow sunshine on the grass looks beautiful. Very good job, Cornelius.

Thanks Sea. I just love these with the great colors and the people enjoying themselves so much. Not to make it sound so much like a oxymoron but skating and walking must go hand in hand in your part of the world. I never did ice skate. I feel like I have missed out on something. Bones at my age break too easily now. :) Wonderful post and faved.

I too have been waiting for some of your frozen canal photos! Excellent composition and details. Very much enjoy the skaters, but love the imagery of the frozen canals and surroundings most of all. Thank you for sharing it.

I really like this one Cornelius. I am glad Ron and Thad requested this one. The frozen canal is beautiful enough alone but add the skaters and it is a masterpiece. Faved my friend.

Mr C - Thanks for this wonderful photo. In college (now many years ago, a prolonged cold spell provided the opportunity to skate a long distance on the Brandywine Creek, a feeling that must be similar to what these skaters have. Best wishes. Thad

AGain...absoutely magnificent! I dearly loved ice skating when I was younger...I lived in "cold" states and the snow was wonderful then. These photos of yours are like "Currier and Ives"...such beauty. I am enjoying the total feeling these give me so much. Verena
