This is the 5th image in my 'In The Dunes' series. The images are taken in the sand dunes of the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. For this image I was standing on a dune top while my camera was pointed in the northern direction. Below you see a part of the village of Zoutelande, in the summer time frequently visited by (foreign) tourists.

Hope you'll like this post too. Thank you in advance for your comment.

I really like this one Mr. C. It is like a landscape and city scape all rolled into one. Those rooftops are really cool. Faved again.

Great composition as usual Cornelius. The roofs of the houses with their bright red colour amongst the green look lovely. Also of course the blue sea, sandy beach and that sky all together make this a wonderful image.

Mr C - From your narrative, I assume that in the summer, the beaches will be populated by a few more than the dozen strollers seen in this photo. It is a beautiful scene. Thad

Very nice photo...I am curious about the barriers that line the sand...This must be to prevent erosion? Fran

I could see why tourists would flock there Sea. It is a great shot and looks so inviting. I like the wide angle and the uniform rooftops in the distance. Once again you have composed it perfectly with the right amount of textured foreground. Have a good weekend.
Good health to you and yours.

With all you photos I've Zeeland now so clear in my mind and in my heart.
I love your place and I love how you introduce them.
You remind me those flemish Masters of the past that today we still admire.
Many thanks my friend. I've learned a lot from you.

Color and clarity are spot on. I normally prefer to see more sky than land, but you composed this beautifully and I can't imagine capturing it any other way! The framing you did is unobtrusive and allows the gorgeous scene to speak for itself.
