The 'Havenmuseum' (harbour museum) is located in the Leuvehaven, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Please check-out this LINK for detailed information.

This image isn't taken however in the Leuvehaven, but in its neighbour harbour the 'Wijnhaven'. On this image the, 42 metres long, former English lightship 'Trinity House, light vessel # 11', built at the former Philip yard on the English river 'Dart' (in Devon), is depicted. Nowadays (since 2008) it's a floating Spanish/Portugesian restaurant with the name 'Tinto'.

Hope you'll like this post. Thank you in advance for your comment.

PS: 'Trinity House' is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales and other British territorial waters (with the exception of Scotland, the Isle of Man, and Northern Ireland).

This is easily spotted in birdseye view on Bing Maps. That's the most unique lighthouse I have ever seen. Gorgeous shot, Mr. C.

Cornelius - Once more, as you do always, the colors are superb, as is the clarity. Thank you for the history of the ship. Great that it has further use after its days as an active lightship have ended. Thad

Now that is a boat that couldnt get lost on the ocean if it tried. People could see that red for hundreds of miles. LOL. I have never seen a boat with a beacon on it before. Very cool.

A wonderful capture! Looks like the best kind of place to have a meal, unless one is prone to seasickness. Seems like it should be OK though as it is so calm.

A nice clear shot, well-balanced with nothing cut off along the edges, interesting subject, and the contrast is spot on. Hopefully it's not this same color inside or you wouldn't have eyes left in your head by the time you left. I'm sure the color would have made it immediately visible, out to sea, hovering near a reef or rocks during the day, just like a traditional lighthouse would be. Visiting Peoria, Illinois, back in the 80's, I toured a museum in a 2-deck paddlewheeler and had dinner in the bowels of a former fireboat, moored alongside the riverboat. Places like this, recycled structures, are some of the coolest to visit. Thanks for sharing it with us.
