Depicted is a part of the eastern outskirts of the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, captured while sailing on the 'Nieuwe Maas' river. As you can see: a mix of traditional and new architecture, as Rotterdam was heavy bombed in WWII and only a few old buildings have sustained this attack.
Hope you'll like this image. Thank you in advance for your comment.
PS: the depicted 'old' building (somewhat right of the centre of this image) is the 'Salmon House'. Its origin began in 1863. In 1875 it became a covered market for the sale of salmon, shad, ide, whitefish, twaite and sturgeon. In January 1896 a pavilion above the market was constructed. In 1955 it was reconstructed and today the reconstructed 'Salmon House' is a brasserie.
