Cornelius - The fine brickwork is exceeded by the window shutters which, in turn, competes with the beautiful gardens. Your trademark color and clarity bring this beautifully composed photo to life. Outstanding my friend! Thad

Mr. C, my wife and I had those bushes at our very first house. We called them our popcorn bushes. Thanks for the memory. The house we had was about the same size as the one in the picture, too!

The color of the shudders almost looks native American. Funny how designs like that can be found world wide. I like the little house. Very well captured.

I glanced at this and before I enlarged it, I thought the front yard was full of sheep. Very good looking house and beautiful garden. I really should wear my glasses when I am on the computer. Fran

They sure have lots of foofies and bushes and such. Must be a lot of work. Those shutters sure stand out. You have captured this very nicely, Mr. C. I would love to live there.

Just how 'small' is this pal?...

are these what we call miniature houses! like in a miniature village?...

You must sat down low for this one!...or sore knees? so, well come to the sore knee club!...lol

Like to answer Bob's questions above:
1. This kind of houses was built around 1900. The houses were intended for farm-labourers. The interior is converted to nowadays standards and the houses are sold to mostly retired foreign (German and Belgian) people to use them as second house, enabling them to spend their time in Zeeland during the summer season.
2. It's better to have sored knees instead of wet knees, mate, LOL!!!

Everthing is so clean tidy and precise and the blooms in the foreground add a nice softness.
You composition displays it to very good advantage Cornelius :)

De sfeer die van dit huisje komt is op zijn Hollands gezegd gezellig. Mooie hoek gekozen en een prachtig stuk architectuur. De lichtval op de bloemen geeft extra schoonheid aan deze foto! Gr Mich
